**Nikornath, can you ask Zackariath to send his rider to my office please?**
asked the Weyrleader of his dragon.
U'das received the message from his bronze. ** Tell Nikornath and his rider that I will be there shortly," the wingleader sent his reply. After a fifteen minutes, he was knocking the Weyrleader's door. "You wanted to see me?"
"Yes, yes I did. Please sit down," K'sedel gestured to a chair across from his desk.
"So, about what?" U'das asked when took the chair.
"I heard a rumour about a greenrider in your wing, and I think it warrant looking in to," explained K'sedel. "It's about greenrider P'guar, it seems he might have been trying to persuade some of the younger candidates to join him in various 'activities'."
"Uh-oh," U'das sighed, "P'guar... he's one of those who don't understand the word no's meaning. Younger candidates you said?" he shook his head.
"Particularly the new impressionable ones from the Holds. I think he needs to have it spelt out to him before it gets brought officially to my attention."
"I'll talk with him...again. He's been in my wing for six month's now and I've already reprimanded him twice. I have riders that been in wing for Turns and never given any reason to scold them."
"Some of them don't learn, no matter what you say to them."
"Always makes me wonder why they impressed in first place," U'das said.
"Because the hatchling on the sands saw something in that person.
Something that was worth it for them."
"I wish I could see the same," U'das murmured.
"Perhaps a few sevendays on night watch duty might give him a chance to think on things," suggested K'sedel.
"At least it would keep him away from other nightly activities," U'das nodded.
"And I'll have a word with Sol and R'syl to have someone speak to the Candidates."
U'das nodded. Not much more they could do about it.
"Fortunately it's just rumours right now, but we can deal with it before it becomes real.
U'das nodded again. "Last thing we need is candidates crying 'rape' or 'sexual harassement' to their parents. That is sure way to lose candidates. "
"Especially as Tabarnith will rise soon, then we'll need them," commented K'sedel.
"Do you think you can keep up with the winning streak?" U'das asked.
"We'll see what happens, but it has to be a good sign that Nikornath has won the last three times."
"And Zack won her only twice. Be warned though, he will try again and do his damnest to catch her," U'das said with a grin. It just might not be enough. Truth was that after his wing-score, Zackariath's flying skills weren't what they used to be and he was a small for a bronze. He had lost his previous advantage: agility and speed. He was now in same line with brown's when it came to the Gold flights. Not big enough or strong enough. But browns had caught Queens too, so you never know what could happen. And Zack was a veteran of many gold flights.
"She may surprise us all yet. There are other dragons here too she might choose."
"And we just have to wait until the Flight is over to know for sure."
"Exactly."
